The name Com-Span means “Spanning the Community”. This name reflects a commitment to provide services for adults throughout the Winnipeg area. As well, the name emphasizes Com-Span’s belief that every individual is a valued citizen of the community.

Who is Com-Span?

Com-Span Inc. provides day programming for adults living with disabilities.

Day services at Com-Span include activities for the participants in the wider community such as volunteering, outings to city attractions and events, and in-house activities such as yoga and music therapy.

Com-Span’s facilities are located on a quiet residential street in South St. Vital. The building is completely wheelchair accessible and overlooks a large green space.

All applicants must meet the following criteria to become an employee of Com-Span Inc.

  • Valid First Aid and CPR training
  • Valid drivers license
  • Be availability: Mon- Fri 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • A clear Adult Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check

Volunteering

Com-Span welcomes all individuals to share their time and talents. Volunteering provides a mutual and valued connect for everyone involved.

Medical Services

Com-Span employs a Licensed Practical Nurse. The nurse’s responsibly is to maintain close working relationships with the individuals and their support network to ensure medical needs are met.
